When do you need a new strap winder?
Three strap shutter problems need a complete new winder. The reason is the same for all three: the broken piece is inside the unit, and it is not sold alone.

How to find the right strap width
- Put a ruler across the old strap and read the width in centimetres.
- If the strap is broken, measure the piece that is left.
- Take a photo of the old winder from the front, and send it with the number.
For strap shutters only

Strap winder questions
Are a zanbalak and a strap winder the same thing?
Yes. Zanbalak (also zambalak) and strap box are Egyptian names for the manual roller shutter strap winder. It is the box on the wall that holds the reel, the spring and the strap.
Is the strap sold alone?
No. The strap comes inside the complete strap winder, with the box, the reel and the spring.
How do I measure the strap width?
Put a ruler across the old strap and read the width in centimetres. We have widths of 1 · 1.5 · 2.2 cm.
What is the difference between the Turkish and the Chinese winders?
The strap width and the size. The Turkish one takes a 1 cm strap and is small. The Chinese ones take a 1.5 cm strap (small) or a 2.2 cm strap (large). Choose the one that matches your strap width.
Does the winder come with a strap?
Yes. It comes complete: box, reel, spring and strap.
How much is a strap winder?
Strap winders start from EGP 450. The final price depends on the type and the strap width. We confirm it on WhatsApp.
Does it work on a crank shutter?
No. A strap winder is only for shutters that open with a strap. Crank shutters use a crank handle and a cardan joint.
