Beninca key selector switch

Name: Beninca key selector switch
Brand: Beninca

A Beninca key selector switch is a wall-mounted metal key switch for automatic gates and shutters. It closes a dry contact on the command input of your control board — a keyed control point that works alongside the remote, not instead of it.

Supplied in Egypt by Abu Seif Steel — the same part is also called an automatic gate key switch, roller shutter key switch, override key switch, keyed switch, key-operated switch, external key switch or simply key switch.

Description

Beninca key selector switch — an Italian keyed wall control, most often specified alongside gate automation. It gives a fixed opening point next to the gate that does not depend on a battery, a phone, or whoever is holding the remote today.

Built around gate access, not just shutters

A key switch is a small part with a large access-control consequence. On a driveway or a shared yard, a remote gets duplicated, lent out and lost. A keyed wall unit changes the question from who has a remote to who has a key — which is a list you can actually keep.

Sliding gate operators — the common Egyptian villa and yard setup
Swing gate operators — single or double leaf
Shared driveways and compounds — one key per authorised person
Rolling shutters — where a fixed control point beats a handheld one

Access control is the real reason to buy

Remote fobs travel. A staff member leaves and the fob leaves with them, and nobody reissues codes. A metal key is harder to duplicate quietly than a fixed-code remote, and it is obvious when it is missing. That is why keyed units show up on gates that a lot of different people use.

A key switch works alongside your remote, not instead of it. Both wire into the same control board, so you can keep remote convenience and add keyed control for the gate itself.

📘 What Beninca publishes: Beninca’s official key-selector range lists four models: «TOKEY» (surface mounting key selector), «TOKEY.E» (surface mounting key selector with European cylinder), «TOKEY.I» (built-in mounting key selector, IP67 water proof limit switch) and «CH» (aluminium key selectors with watertight micro-switches; for external mounting it requires the KE adapter). The choice that matters on site is surface versus built-in mounting. Which Beninca model is in stock is confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.

Will it work with my control board?

Point	Detail
Signal type	Dry contact — the switch closes a circuit, it does not supply voltage
Connection	The command input on the control board, usually NO / COM
Deciding factor	Whether your board exposes a dry contact command input
Gate type	Sliding or swing — both are addressed the same way electrically
Confirmation	A photo of your terminal strip on WhatsApp

Frequently asked questions

Is this only for Beninca gate operators? No. It sends a dry contact signal, so it works with most control boards that expose a dry contact command input, whatever the operator brand. Send a terminal photo to confirm.

Sliding gate or swing gate — does it matter? Not electrically. Both operator types take the same kind of command input. What matters is the board, not the gate leaf.

Can several people share one gate with keys?Yes, that is the usual reason for fitting one. Each authorised person carries a key, and access is a list you control rather than a pile of remotes in circulation.

Will it stop my remote from working? No. The key switch and the remote both connect to the same control board and operate independently.

Which Beninca key selector models exist?Beninca’s official range lists TOKEY and TOKEY.E for surface mounting, TOKEY.I for built-in mounting (IP67 water proof limit switch) and the aluminium CH series with watertight micro-switches. The model in stock is confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.

How much does it cost?Price depends on the exact model in stock at the time of order. Ask on WhatsApp 01098470908.

How fast is delivery?Within hours in Cairo and Giza, and 3-5 working days to all other governorates in Egypt.
